One of the best players in the world Roberto Pasquali have quit playing for Italy. He mention that there is some problems with the Italian Federation.

He will continue to play for Roma in the Italian Beach Soccer league. In the future he mention that he wants to be a coach.

An carismatico player that I will miss in Italy. Please come back!

Portugal wins EBSL and welcome to group A – Turkey.

The five topteams in Europe (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Russia and Switzerland) is equal in quality. The ”todayquality” seems to be the different.

Switzerland had a defense play sometimes very bad. Had players move behind their defense and score several times. Stankovic is still a producing goals. Nico have to had better throws. He can better. Still they produce 12 goals in two matches but their defense let 11 goals in. Not good enough.6-3 against Spain and lost 5-6 to Italy.

Spain – with Amarelle is better. But still everybody around him expect him to ”solve” the problems for ex in their attacking game. This was unfortunally Amarelles not best performance and this reflects the Spanish results also. 5-6 against Italy and 3-6 against Switzerland.

Italy was like a new team. The missing of the starplayer Pasquali did not reflect their game. Leghissa sometimes come into attacking (which I never seen before . There is a new dynamic in their game but still they played smart and used the opponents weaknesses this weekend. 6-5 against Spain and 8-6 win against Switzerland. In the final they met a strong Portugal. But 2 place in EBSL is more than I expected. Esposito have made a great job with the team and I will be interesting to see what he can achieve for next year when FIFA WC is played in Italy.

Romania made a great game against Russia but the Russian defense had never been as bad as during this match. 6-4 is a step forward for the Romanian but 6-1 against Portugal reflects the status for the Romanian team. To break into the A group is not easy.

Russia defense against Romania is the worst I have seen from them. Wins the game by continuing to work hard and never let the opponent rest. They missed a lot of shots also in this game. The match against Portugal was close and a wrong decision from the referee (where he let the game continue when Russia should have a freekick) ”changed” the match when Portugal scored instead. Great goals by Madjer (as usual .

Portugal is strong. Bruno Novo was the hero of the team by 2 goals in the final. Nice for him to be in the center (usual it is Madjer, Belchior or Alan). 6-1 Romania and 4-2 against Russia took them to the final against Italy. A tight game where Italy started best but Portugal was working very hard in both attacking and defense. The kings in defense Marinho and Bilro neutrilized every attack during 2 period from Italy. Congratulations guys – you deserved this victory.

Group B

Turkey wins against France in the final with 4-3. The negative process from France continue and they have to ”start over” in B group next year. Turkey made a terrific weekend in Portugal and are qualified for A group next year. My guess was Hungary but they lost their game in the group against France and alsa against Israel in the game for 3 place.

In the promotionalfinal Turkey won against Israel on penalties 3-3 at full time in Group B

France in group A with my favorite player Samoun was back and helped Cantonas team win over England with 10-4. Sciortino made 4 of the goals for France in Group A.

Russian had a very tight game against Romania. The russian team is like a machine. They just keep on moving the ball and in some way you ”know” that the other team (in this case Romania) do not have the energy in the third quarter. Still the defense was not satifying for the Russian team that missed their positions in the defense some times during the game and Romania was very effective to use this occations. 6-4 to Russia.

Espositos guys in Italy made a great game against Switzerland. Schirinzis guys tried and tried but the italian defense were strong (still SUI made 6 goals – 4 by Stankovic, 2 by Meier). Palmacci (2 goals) and the new player Gori (2 goals) were surpricingly effective today. Still we have to concider that the megastar in Italy Pasquali was not playing. Players like Palmacci have had difficulties finding the goal when Pasquali is playing. Today more players in Italy ”carried the teams play” than usually. The Suiss defense was a disaster. Player moving up time after time behind the defenders and Nico in the goal use to be a stabilized part in the Suiss defense had not his best day. Step up Nico and Switzerland – you can do much better than this. To Italy – Congratulations. This group will be very interesting to follow.

Sporting won all their matches 2010

With players like Madjer, Belchior, Alan, Bruno – No one could stop them.

Benfica tried but lost 5-2. Sporting made 48 goals in 7 matches.

Czech Republics place in the promotional final will be occupied by England instead

England will face France and Hungary. In my opinion the best teams in this final. If England will win this group it would be a huge surprice. Although they made a great tournament in Hague and lost against Mexico in their own tournament a couple a week ago on penalties. Good Luck England. You can win against France but you will not beat Hungary.

Milano – Feldi Catanzaro 6-5

With players like Alan, Amarelle, Bruno and Benjamin they beated Feldi Catanzaro (with players like Bruno Xavier, Carotenuto, Teddy) in extra time. Alan made the final goal.

In the game for 3/4 place Lignano Sabbiadoro beated Roma with 8-7

Lignano with player – Leghissa, Nenem, Del Mestre and Torres beated the team I though should win the Italian league- Roma (with players Madjer, Belchior, Buru, Pasquali and Galli).

As you can read you have probably all the best players in the world playing in Italy.

For some of them they have to load their batteries one more time when playing in Lisboa in the end of august.

Now the EBSL champions for 2010 is going to be crowned.

Russia, Portugal, Romania

Group B

Switzerland, Spain and Italy

My guess is that Switzerland is playing final against either Russia or Portugal.

But Spain have more to prove this year and hopefully Amarelle is back to help Spain bring some sort of success this year since they did not qualify for the WC 2011 in Italy.

In the qualification for entering the A group they will play as followed:

Group A

France, Hungary, Czech Republic

Group B

Israel, Azerbaijan, Turkey

My guess is that Hungary will be the winners. The keymatch is – I think – the game against France. In my opinion both France and Hungary is better teams than the teams in group B for the moment. But as we all know – everything can happen in Beach Soccer.

Portugal could not stand up against the gigant – Brazil

There were a very close game and Portugal had to quick finishing against Mao in the Brazilian goal. Portugal gets closer and closer but a freekick in the second by Daniel started a bad process for Portugal. A few minutes later Bilro got the red card and Brazil moved forward their forces and goals by Andersson, Bueno and finally Sidney made the score 4-0. To beat Brazil you have to have ALL players on the court and play very well both defense and attacking. Congratulations to Brazil!

In the other match today Argentina won against USA. They had 4-0 before USA start to get their defense in order. Morales (USA)  was the best player in the match and they worked them closer and closer.3-5 when only minutes left but a freekick got the win to ARG by   6-3.

Best goalscorers: Madjer, Sidney, Daniel and some more with 3 goals each.

Brazil-Portugal who will win Mundialito 2010?

9-1 for Brazil in the first game today against USA. The US goalkeeper McAndrews saved appr 10 goalshots more. Albaquerque was the player who showed class and is the best player in the US team. Brazil have – as always – a lot of different goalscorers (Dino, Bruno, Benjamin, Sidney, Anderson, Daniel, André). Still Brazil seams to ”save” themself to the final tomorrow against Portugal.

A tight game where Portugal got two goal during second period Coimbra and Madjer. Argentinas chans to get back into the game were during the first 2 minutes during last period where they missed a penalty kick (Graca saved) and a bicyclekick in the crossbar. The attacking after Bilro shot 3-0 on a free kick. The game was ”over”. Alan made one of his better games lately with an splendid assist to Madjers 2-0.

Final between Brazil and Portugal tomorrow. Argentina have to show more attacking tomorrow against USA.

Madjer leads Portugal to an easy win against USA

The first match a Brazilian team used appr 50 % of their capacity to beat Argentina in an 3-2 win. Benjamin, Bueno and André for Brazil. Vivas and De Ezeyza made the goals for Argentina. Vivas goal was a classic goal and the goal of the match. Anderson in Brazil was a new experience on the beach soccer arena and with great acceleration and speed he made some great attacking attempts.

Brazilians showed very little of their class and more or less during the match they made an ”walkingmatch”. Maybe they are saving their energy for the match on sunday against Portugal. USA tomorrow should not be a problem for them.

Argentina will face Portugal tomorrow and they won easily against USA 5-1. Madjer were leading the team and made two great goals. One of the goal it was lucky the net was strong otherwise you had to pick up the ball in the Atlantic sea. Alan made also 2 great goals Novo 1. Portugal is still 2 divisions better than the US team.

One of my favorite players made a comback – Marinho. A tough and technical player who made the Portuguese team very strong a few years ago. In that time a first line up with Marinho-Hernani (former Benfica player)- Alan and Madjer. Welcome back Marinho.
